Dorothe Depauw was born in Virton and studied at the Royal Acadamy of Dance in London and the Conservatoire de Danse de Esch / Alzette (Luxemburg). Between 2002 and 2006 she continued her studies in a more contemporary direction at the "Hoger Instituut voor Dans" in Lier, where she specialised in choreography.
She has collaborated with several artists, choreographers and visual artists, such as: Marc Vanrunxt, Augendre Florence, David Hernandez, Filip Van Huffel, Jeroen Bayens, Roos van Geffen. She is dancer and main choreographer at Mangrove-Tentactile. Creations: (2008) ’Cooking your body’ and DS # 1 (2009) "Geknipt a mesure". She also creates her own choreography; ’la fille signée’ (2007, performance), ’Freedom of imagination’ (2007, film), ’Tegen en / of Tussen’ (2006, dance) She also works on creative workshops for children and adolescents at ’home for the cultures Molenbeek St Jean’, GC Ten Noey St Josse Ten Node (with Mus-E Connect) and Project Artaayouch in Etterbeek.
