In relationship with the Kunstenfestivaldesarts, VJ4 wondered about the place of the spectacle, the definition of the actor, the author, the body, the words in this era of new technologies of distribution and production, being the webcam, the e-mail, the video...

A multimedia situation gathering performers, artists, on and off line, life and on digital formats being web cam performances, cd-roms, net based projects.

Pragmatism

The extreme conversion of visual dimensions, the abrupt concertinaing of viewpoints and the instant shortening of distances have become a daily exercise in the technosphere.

Exit the technosublime, fascination with the medium and digital megalomania.

JV4 has been constructed after pragmatic reflection: how should things be done? How should we produce ourselves, how should we work together? How should technology be used, without being used by it?
