Fernand Baudin Prijs 2009

Het boek van Verbindingen / Jonctions 10: Sporen in het elektronische veld heeft een Fernand Baudin Prijs 2009 gewonnen. In de tentoonstelling PRIJS VAN DE BEST VERZORGDE BOEKEN UIT BRUSSEL EN WALLONIË worden de bekroonde en genomineerde boeken voorgesteld.

Vernissage, uitreiking van de erediploma’s aan de laureaten en publicatie van de catalogus: 25 FEBRUARI 2010 OM 18.00 UUR

Dankzij de steun van Wallonië-Brussel Internationaal (WBI) en Het Waalse Agentschap voor Export en Buitenlandse Investeringen (AWEX), werd de Fernand Baudin prijs voor de tweede editie 2009-2010 uitgebreid tot Wallonië.

De internationale jury is op 11 december in de Erg bijeengekomen om de best verzorgste boeken te selecteren, die in 2009 in Brussel en Wallonië werden ontworpen, uitgegeven en gedrukt.

De jury bestond uit 6 leden:

ROGER WILLEMS, graficus, uitgever, voorzitter van de jury (NL)

WILLEM OOREBEEK, kunstenaar, lesgever (NL)

JEAN-MARIE COURANT, graficus, curator, lesgever (F)

DAVID POULLARD, typograaf, lesgever (F)

JAN WOUTER HELSPEEL, graficus, lesgever (B)

DRITA KOTAJI, boekhistoricus, lesgeefster (B)

De 83 ontvangen werken, die voorgesteld werden per categorie (algemene literatuur (fictie), algemene literatuur (non-fictie), kunstenaarsboeken, kunstboeken en –catalogussen, boeken over architectuur en stadsplanning, jeugdboeken en stripverhalen), werden ter beschikking van de jury gesteld.

20 boeken werden genomineerd en 10 boeken werden bekroond en dragen de titel "Laureaat van de Fernand Baudinprijs 2009». Een erediploma zal uitgereikt worden aan de 3 partners van het bekroonde boek: de graficus, de uitgever en de drukker.

De Fernand Baudin Prijs wordt ondersteund door Brussels Export, Wallonie-Brussel International (WBI) en Het Waalse Agentschap voor Export en Buitenlandse Investeringen (AWEX).

Fernand Baudin Prize 2009

The Constant book Tracks in elect(ron)ic fields won a Fernand Baudin Prize 2009. This exhibition in Brussels presents the bookawards and other nominations.

Opening, award ceremony of the honorary diploma’s and release of the catalogue: 25th of February 2010 at 6 pm

For it’s second edition 2009-2010, the Prize was extended to the Walloon Region thanks to the support of Wallonia-Brussels International (WBI) and the Walloon Agency for Export and Foreign Investments (AWEX).

The international jury convened at the Erg to choose the most beautiful books that were designed, published or printed in Brussels and Wallonia in 2009.

The jury consisted of the following six members:

Roger WILLEMS, graphic artist, publisher, chairman of the Jury (NL)

Willem OOREBEEK, artist, teacher (NL)

Jean-Marie COURANT, graphic artist, curator, teacher (F)

David POULLARD, typographer, teacher (F)

Jan WOUTER HELSPEEL, graphic artist, teacher (B)

Drita KOTAJI, book historian, teacher (B)

The 83 received books, presented by category (general literature (fiction), general literature (non-fiction), artists’ books, art books and catalogues, architecture and urban planning books, books for young people and comic books) were placed at the disposal of the jury.

20 books were nominated and the Prize was awarded to 10 books, that were given the title "Winner of the Fernand Baudin Prize 2009". The three parties of the award winning book; the graphic designer, the publisher and the printer, will receive an honorary diploma.
